Dear Mother:–

I neglected writing to you yesterday, but an other lad and I had a cupple of good walks and each got a book at the library then at night we came down and read and then the lights went out and the picture came on.

A strange thing has happened there is five of us in the same room and not one of us smoke. it is quite a novelty with boys coming back from France.

I got a letter last night from Gowers they wish there kindest regards to be sent to you.

I am not in writing humor seems,

I drempt last night that I was at home and cutting barley right along. They should not have wakened me I would have liked to stay,

I will surely be in Khakie homeward bound a week from today, but of coarse I have no idea how long I will be in Liverpool, I did not get away with the bunch this A.M. It is all right I think my hand will be entirely healed by next Tuesday, I can open a door and cut meat do a lot of things now with that hand.

Well bye bye Mother dear as ever your loving son
Laurie

P.S. we walked away out by Lovers Leap yesterday I will discribe it when I get back,

L.
